On Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Manipur’s Governor Anusuiya during his four-day visit to Manipur.
On Sunday, Mr. Shah held a meeting with Manipur CM N Biren Singh and ministers of the state, senior leaders, and officials here to review the situation and make plans to restore normalcy in the region.
He held a meeting, where Union Minister for State Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, and Intelligence Bureau chief Tapan Deka among other officials concerned in the state as well as the Centre take part as well.
The meeting focused on assessing the situation in Manipur and planning steps to make the situation normal in the state.
During his stay in Manipur till June 1, the Home Minister will hold several security meetings.
