Amit Shah On a 3 Day Visit To Gujarat

The Home Minister has a tight schedule for 3 days. visiting Jagannath temple in Ahmedabad ahead of the Annual Rath Yatra


Home Minister of India led Amit Shah, he is visiting Gujarat for 3 days as per the schedule, firstly he fed a temple elephant and also doing "aarti" at the Jagannath temple which is in Ahmedabad ahead he will arrive for the annual rath yatra, which commences today.

The yatra for 19km will be taken out amid a curfew due to pandemic. Also, authorities have planned to complete this trip within four to five hours as against the usual time of 12 hours.

Mr.Shah is seen sitting cross-legged on the floor and doing "aarti" along with devotees where he is also captured in feeding the temple elephant sugarcane and bananas. The elephant, in turn, is seen godsend the Minister and everyone gets ready for a photo-op. There is an arrangement of tight security in place of yatra passes off peacefully with strict adherence of Covid protocols.

Except for three chariots and two other vehicles, as per the state government statement, no other vehicle, singing troupes, elephants or adorned trucks will be allowed to take part for the same. The government has urged the people to broadcast the yatra on television channels and watch on TV.

Last year, Rath Yatra was arranged in the place of the Lord Jagannath temple after the Gujarat High Court denied permission due to the pandemic.
