Andhra Woman Tries to Cheat Delhi Hotel After 15-Day Stay

Investigation Underway in the Attempted Fraud Case

In New Delhi, a 37-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh is accused of attempting to evade payment at a 5-star hotel in Aerocity after an extended stay of over two weeks.

A woman stayed at a hotel in Delhi for over two weeks and owed Rs 5.8 lakh. She claimed to have paid using a bank's UPI App, but no money was received by the hotel. When asked to show her bank statement, she tried to leave, but the security stopped her. The police were called for questioning.

The woman informed the police that she made the payment using a virtual credit card. Authorities are reaching out to the Bank, and a team is set to visit her residence for additional investigation.

The woman, now restrained by the police, is required to notify law enforcement if she intends to leave the city.
