Another Top-up option for Metro Smart Card

Now Delhi Metro cards can be recharged using Amazon Pay.

Amazon Pay on Wednesday introduced the facility of recharging Delhi Metro smart cards through Amazon Pay to provide more convenience to its commuters.

The event was introduced by DMRC ‘s managing director, Dr. Mangu Singh, and  Mr. Mahendra Nerurkar CEO along with other senior officers through video conferencing. Where Mr.Nerurkar said, “The capability is in line with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s commitment towards supporting the digital drive to promote cashless transactions at a time when social distancing has become a new normal for everyone”.

To assist this facility, commuters can open the Amazon shopping app and click on the ‘Metro recharge’ option under the Amazon pay tab. After entering their smart card number, they can choose the amount ranging between Rs 100 to Rs 2,000 to recharge. After successful payment, they need to tap the card at the automatic vending machine at any Metro station and select “top-up” to add balance to their card.

This easy top-up of Smart card avoids queues and saves time at the station which also helps in keeping by customers’ concerns for hygienic, socially distant, and secure payments transactions for their day to day needs.
