Anti-Kejriwal Posters In Delhi

The poster war between BJP and AAP…

New Delhi: Two days after the Delhi police crackdown on posters targeting PM Narendra Modi, similar posters are seen of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal emerged in Delhi on Thursday morning.

The slogan on the posters was "Modi hatao, desh bachao (remove Modi, save the country)" which were removed by the Police on Tuesday.

Out of Six people, two owners of a printing press; were arrested and several cases were filed in this incident.

On Thursday, 23 March 2023, the latest posters were observed that defamed Mr. Kejriwal by saying "dishonest, corrupt dictator", and carried the slogan "remove Arvind Kejriwal, save Delhi".

The posters claimed they were raised by BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

The poster war is the latest in a string of BJP-AAP face-offs after the arrest of former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the liquor policy case.

The arrests were made for destroying public property and the posters were required to carry the name of the printing press under law, said police explaining their act and action. Of the 138 cases filed, 36 were for anti-PM Modi posters, they added.

Mr. Kejriwal discarded this explanation given by the police and said that our PM is so "scared".

"FIRs (first information reports) have been filed over the posters. Why is Modi ji so scared? Anyone can put up posters of anyone. Such a scared PM, such an insecure Prime Minister," he said.

The Delhi cops also seized 2,000 posters that were allegedly being delivered in a van to the AAP Head office.
