Army Probes Breach Of Data In Northern Command

Breach of data in Northern Command, Army probes

A probe has been ordered by the Indian Army in the Northern Command into a case of a data breach after a soldier was found to be passing on data to some Pakistani operatives. Army sources said that the data breach occurred when a soldier from Punjab was posted in the Northern Command and was caught by the officials trading with the alleged issue. A court inquiry has been ordered to investigate after the incident came to light in order to get findings on how the soldier could get access to the data and the extent to which it could leak the data to the Pakistani operative agencies.

The data breach took place when the Indian side was deeply engaged in the stand-off with the Chinese military. The Udhampur based Northern Command is in charge of security on both the borders of China and Pakistan in the Ladakh sector. According to some prominent sources “The probe would also find out how deeply the soldier was engaged with the enemy operatives and how much he was compromised by them.”
