Army ready to help in the fight against Covid-19 says, General Bipin Rawat


To fight against Covid-19 General Bipin Rawat on Sunday extended help to the people of India in tackling the Covid-19 situation. He spoke via videoconferencing at a seminar organized by an N.G.O. in Uttar Pradesh, He said to stop the spread of Covid in rural areas, people will have to come together and they have to fight the pandemic,  "The Army is ready to extend help to the people of the country."

Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in interaction with district magistrates and field officials, also asked them to work to rid the rural area of the Covid-19 infection and guide them. According to the data by the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 2.4 lakh of fresh Covid-19 cases and 3 741 deaths on Sunday that pushed the tally to 2,65,30,132 and the toll to 2,99,266. Meanwhile many states have also extended the lockdown, where The National Capital has again extended it for one week till 31st May, Rajasthan till 8 June and many more states extended it.
