Army Rescues 60 Tourists in Kashmir

Daring Rescue Mission in Gulmarg…

On December 16, the Chinar Warriors rescued 61 tourists stranded in Gulmarg, northern Kashmir.

Following continuous snowfall in the region on Saturday, a group of tourists, including women and children, became stranded in Gulmarg.

The Indian Army, as per a press release, reported that the drop in temperature caused by snowfall led to the tourists' predicament. Army jawans offered heating arrangements, sleeping bags, and hot meals to alleviate their hardships.

Gulmarg, a globally acclaimed tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir, underwent a picturesque transformation into a winter wonderland after experiencing fresh snowfall on Saturday. The residents faced additional challenges with several roads in the area being blocked due to the snow.

The recent rescue in Gulmarg isn't the first instance of Chinar Warriors aiding valley residents. On Saturday, they organized a medical camp at Ramhall and Taratpora to assist the locals.

On Friday, the Chinar Warriors collaborated with the fire department to extinguish a fire in the Bazipore area of Kashmir's Manasbal, preventing potential loss of life and property.

The Chinar Warriors, integral to the Indian Army's XC Corps, which is named the Chinar Corps, hold responsibility for military operations in the Kashmir Valley. They have actively participated in all military conflicts involving neighboring Pakistan and China.
