Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the 700 metric oxygen been made available in Delhi.

CM Arvind Kejriwal in a letter thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi "Delhi requires 700 metric tonnes of oxygen every day. We have been requesting the central government to hep arrange the same. Earlier for the first time, Delhi received 730 MT of oxygen," for the Centre. Arvind Kejriwal also added in his note that "On behalf of the people of Delhi, I thank you. I request you to see that Delhi gets this amount of oxygen on a daily basis and that there is no cut,". The letter comes amid a bitter tussle between the Centre and the state in Supreme Court over oxygen supply to the national capital.

Today, in a statement, the state said that Centre continues to be in contempt for not supplying 700 MT of oxygen tanks to the city-state. Delhi Government's lawyer Rahul Mehra stated that "People of Delhi are dying and the Centre cannot dilute Supreme Court's orders," .Meanwhile, government of National Capital alleged that the requirement for oxygen has gone up nearly five times because of rapid increase in covid-19 cases and it does not have control over tankers due to pandemic.
