Polling Begins In UP, UK, and Goa!


Ahead of the polling day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urges people to vote in Record Numbers.

 

On Monday he urged voters to vote in record numbers for the poll bound states including Goa, Uttarakhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh. 

 

According to the tweet, the PM said, "Polling will be held across Uttarakhand, Goa and in parts of Uttar Pradesh.

 

I call upon all those who are eligible to vote today to do so in record numbers and strengthen the festival of democracy," the Prime Minister tweeted. Prime Minister Modi in a tweet called upon people to vote in record numbers and strengthen the festival of democracy. 

 

The assembly elections are all set for five states including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Punjab, and Goa, where the voting begins in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa today.

 

The Voting for Goa Assembly elections, Uttarakhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh began on Monday (February 14). The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the incumbent government in all these states.

 

Uttar Pradesh begins up with the second phase of polling today, where elections will be held to 403 assembly constituencies in seven phases and will begin voting for its second phase today.

 

The first phase was held on February 10. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath is all confident about his party's win.

 

While Goa and Uttarakhand will see all of their 40 and 70 assembly seats respectively going to polls in a single phase, voting will be done at 55 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh today. The Counting of votes will take place on March 10.
