Australian Prime Minister Albanese said: "India and Australia are good friends"

Australia wants to build a cultural and economic relationship with India


On 10 March 2023, the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese addressed the press conference at the Rastrapati Bhawan after the welcome ceremony done by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

 

The Australian Prime Minister thanked PM Narendra Modi during the conference and also mentioned that Australia and India are great friends. They are partners, and they are building that partnership even stronger each and every day. He further added that they will also work to build their cultural and economic relationship, as well as the in the area of security, and they will open access to the sea lanes in the Indo-Pacific for our trade.

 

On their India tour, PM Albanese and PM Narendra Modi watched the ongoing fourth and final test for the Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

 

Later, he met with the external minister, S. Jaishankar, at the Hyderabad house in New Delhi. The PM Albanese will also call on President Draupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 

He also stated in the meeting that they will share an unwavering commitment to upholding the rule based international order.
