‘Avengers’ stars pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman

“Black Panther” star named ‘Hero for the Ages’.


 ‘Avengers’ actors Robert Dowyne Jr and Don Cheadle paid tribute to their late fellow Marvel star Chadwick Boseman at the MTV Movie and TV Awards which was aired on Sunday Night. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Black Panther’ star was posthumously named as ‘Hero for the Ages’, during the awards ceremony.

“The award honours a star whose heroism onscreen was only surpassed by the true hero they were offscreen,” MTV said. Robert Dowyne Jr the late actor and said that “Boseman’s energy and intensity was undeniable,” he further added, “truly embodied what it meant to be a superhero.”

On the other hand, Cheadle said, “Each time he stepped on the set, he inspired and influenced everyone there, and with every role he created a new legion of fans. He had an incredible power to unify people in their love for his work and their respect for him as a person. The way he lived his life united people behind a higher purpose, and that will be his legacy.”

Ending the note he further said, “Chadwick will forever be known as the Black Panther, but he also painted incredibly powerful portrayals of iconic and influential real men who changed the world. He brought humanity and truth to the portrayal of people that felt larger than life, and he did it in a way that honoured their memories.”

Chadwick Boseman passed away at the age of 43 in August due to colon cancer. He has also portrayed some real-life luminaries in ‘Marshall,’ ‘Get up,’ and ‘42’. Alongside with Robert and Don he has also worked in three more blockbuster films- ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
