Bangladesh has the highest global dengue death rate...

37 passed away in last two days

A total of 37 dengue patients passed away in Bangladesh during the past two days, bringing the year's death toll there to 634. The largest number of dengue-related deaths in a single day this year was recorded in Bangladesh on September 2 with 21 cases.

Brazil currently holds the top spot in terms of dengue-related cases worldwide, with Bangladesh coming in second. However, Brazil trails Bangladesh when it comes to the death rate.

According to a news release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 8,845 dengue patients are receiving care at various institutions.

According to the DGHS statement, 1,30,302 patients are now registered as a result of the new instances. There are 369 female deaths and 265 male deaths from dengue worldwide, with 49,495 female cases and 80,807 male cases total.

Health professionals claim that the vector-borne disease first appeared in Dhaka city in 2000, and that only then did dengue positive cases start to appear there. However, the dengue virus is currently evolving and slowly encroaching on the entire nation.
