Barber Murders Two Children in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh

Police Encounter Ends in Death…


In Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, a barber reportedly entered the residence of a man living across from his shop and allegedly killed the man's two children. The assailant was later shot dead by police in an encounter after he attacked them while trying to escape.

 

The double murder caused tension in the city on Tuesday evening, but authorities have stated that the situation is now under control.

 

Sajid, who ran a barber shop near the victims' house in Baba Colony and was acquainted with their father, Vinod, reportedly entered the house on Tuesday evening and requested a loan of Rs 5,000.

 

According to the police, when the children's mother left the room to prepare tea, he went to the second floor of the house and attacked Vinod's three children - Aayush (11), Piyush (7), and Ahaan (6).

 

According to the police, he slit Aayush and Ahaan's throats and attempted to kill Piyush before escaping the scene. Sadly, the two brothers succumbed to their injuries, while Piyush sustained minor wounds.

 

Sajid was apprehended nearby, but he attempted to attack the police and was subsequently killed in an encounter. The police have stated that the motive behind the murders is still unknown.

 

Vinod told NDTV, "I had no dispute with him. I was away from home for work when he came to the house. He asked for Rs 5,000, and my wife gave him the money. One of my sons was able to escape his attack and warn his mother."

 

Budaun District Magistrate Manoj Kumar stated that the police had been informed about protests by the locals and urged people to maintain peace.

 

"We received information this evening that a man entered a house and murdered two young children. After this, there was an agitation by the people. They have been asked to maintain peace, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem," he informed news agency ANI.
