Bengaluru Man Kills Girlfriend Unhappy with Her Job: Cops

Man allegedly assaulted her with a knife

A 42-year-old woman in Bengaluru was allegedly murdered by her male friend, reportedly because he was dissatisfied with her job, according to the police.

The incident took place yesterday at Shalini Grounds in Jayanagar. The victim, identified as Farida Khanum from Kolkata and a resident of a lodge in the area, was pronounced deceased by the police.

Authorities stated that they have apprehended 32-year-old Girish in connection with the case and have formally charged him with murder.

Police disclosed that Farida worked at a spa, while Girish was employed at a private firm, and they were in a relationship.

Girish's dissatisfaction with the nature of Farida's job reportedly led to conflicts between them, as he allegedly pressured her to resign against her wishes.

On Saturday, following an argument over the same issue, Girish allegedly assaulted her with a knife. Some passers-by observed her lying in a pool of blood and promptly transported her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, as per the police statement.

Authorities suspect it to be a premeditated murder since Girish was carrying a knife, and they have announced that further investigations are underway.
