Bentley Luxury Car To Go Completely Electric By 2030

Bentley Motors by 2030 to become utterly electric


The British luxury car maker Bentley Motors on Thursday said that it is planning to offer a plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles by the year 2026 and fully electric models by 2030. The German automaker company Volkswagen is the owner of Bentley Motors, it is offering two unidentified plug in hybrid models starting next year. a fully electric first Bentley vehicle is expected by 2025. The only plug-in hybrid vehicle currently is Bentayga SUV.

Bentley Motors chief engineer Matthias Rabe said 'The future of Bentley will be fully electric' in an event where he was outlining the future direction of the 100 year old company.


The automaker company is best known for its luxury cars with eight and twelve cylinder engines and this move by the enterprise seems like a huge step. Like other automakers they also plan to move away from the vehicles with traditional internal combustion engines in return for electric power-trains.


The CEO of Bentley Motors Adrian Hallmark in a statement said " within a decade Bentley will transform a 100 year old luxury car company to a new sustainable,wholly ethical role model of luxury". By 2030 Bentley aims to become completely carbon neutral.


Due to the coronavirus pandemic Hallmark in an event said Bentley is 'in a position' where it could be at symmetry following outstanding disturbance in the company's operation. He also said it's not clear but that is  totally their mission to achieve 10,000 sales this year.


Bentley had also announced 1,000 jobs or nearly a quarter of its workforce through a 'voluntary release' program as its business plans have been completely crashed due to the global pandemic this summer.
