Why Farmers are protesting against the Agricultural Bill?
After the agriculture bill was passed by the Parliament recently, Farmers all across the country are against it and came on roads and started protesting against it and for 'Bharat -band ' and are chanting agriculture bill as " ANTI- BILL".
Several states like Punjab, Haryana, Bangalore, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar and many other states farmers are protesting on the roads and have blocked the main commuting roads. The main highway of Ambala division was blocked by parking tractors and vehicles from morning 10:00 am till evening 4:00 pm on Friday.
Many opposition parties such as BJP, Congress, AAP, DMK are in support with these farmers.
According to the government, "This bill will help the farmers in getting better prices for their products so they can sell directly to the market anywhere" but According to the farmers, they said that "They have fear of losing MSP(minimum selling price) and AP(assured price) of their crop from the government".
Several singers, actors including Harbhajan Mann, Sidhu moosewala and many others came out in support of these farmers.
Farmers from Punjab and several states nearby have planned a three day" rail -roko"to stop the train from passing by and are protesting on the rail tracks. Several special passenger trains have been cancelled by the railway till 26th of September and now again it has been extended upto 29th of September.
The protest is still going on, security has been tightened everywhere on the state border as well as on the protesting place.
