BHARAT JODO YATRA REVIVES FROM UTTAR PRADESH

Yatra covered 3000 km in 110 days, 46 Districts in 9 states


After the nine-day winter rest, the Bharat Jodo yatra resumed from Uttar Pradesh on January 3, 2023. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi along with Priyanka Gandhi will resume the yatra from Loni in Ghaziabad. The Yatra will head towards Baghpat to cover many parts of Shamli in Uttar Pradesh before entering Haryana on 5th January.

The non-stop Yatra has covered 3000 km and more than 110 days, 46 Districts in   9 states. Nearly 12 states and 2 union territories will be covered during the Yatra. On 7 September from Kanyakumari the Yatra was launched by  Rahul Gandhi and Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K Satlin covered Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Andra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and will end at Srinagar in Jammu, and Kashmir on 26 January 2023.

According to Congress, this is the first ever longest foot march by an Indian politician in the history of India. Rahul Gandhi's primary goal of this Yatra is to fight against discrimination and hatred. He also invited Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati to join the Bharat Jodo Yatra; in response to the invitation both the leaders thanked him and wished him for the journey but decided to stay distanced from it.

“Following the Yatra congress will move ahead with two months hath se hath Jodo campaign (foot March) headed by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for the issues related to women.” Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said.
