MOTIHARI: A Class X student was allegedly caught smoking and thrashed mercilessly on Saturday by the director and teacher of a private school where he was studying and living in its hostel at Madhuban in East Champaran district.

The boy, Bajrangi Kumar (15), died during treatment at private hospital in Muzaffarpur in the night.

Pakaridayal SDPO Sunil Kumar Singh said the incident took place in the Rising Star Private Residential School at Madhuban on Saturday noon.

After Bajrangi's mother informed the police on Sunday morning, raids were conducted to arrest the accused school director and teacher, but they were absconding.

Mila Devi, the mother of deceased, has lodged an FIR against the director of the school, Vijay Kumar Yadav, and teacher Jay Prakash Yadav for killing her son.

She alleged that Bajrangi, who was admitted in the school and its boarding had visited the home at Banjariya village and returned to Madhuban on Saturday morning.

It is alleged that the teacher caught him smoking in Madhuban market and took Bajrangi to the school where he was beaten up mercilessly by the director and teacher.

Bajrangi fell unconscious and was taken to a nursing home at Muzaffarpur where he died due to internal injuries Saturday night.

Urmila further said she was informed by the school director in the night that his son died in Galaxy Hospital of Muzaffarpur during treatment.

Her family members rushed there and brought the body to Madhuban and informed the police Sunday morning.

The police raided the school and residence of Vijay and Jay but could not find them.

The police sent the body to Motihari Sadar hospital for autopsy, the SDPO said.
