Congress Leader Over Hijab Row In Karnataka


 

The ongoing protest over Hijab Row in Karnataka has created an alarming situation all across the Country. This has led to a protest and has created a questioning scenario all across the globe.



Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has commented on the issue stating "it's a women's right to decide what she wants to wear, be it a bikini, A Ghoonghat, a pair of jeans or a Hijab." Congress leader also asserted that this right is guaranteed by the constitution.

 

 

According to the tweet, congress secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra used the hashtag 'ladkihoonladsaktihoon' and stated"whether it's a bikini, a Ghoonghat, a pair of jeans or a Hijab, it's a woman's right to decide what she wants to wear." This right is GUARANTEED by the Indian Constitution. Stop harassing women" read her tweet.



On Tuesday a huge crowd of students was seen. Two groups of students one wearing hijab, the second one wearing saffron scarves and shawls were seen protesting in Karnataka outside the MGM College. Also, incidents of stone-pelting and the use of police force were reported. The Karnataka State government has declared a three-day holiday ahead of the ongoing protest and issued a closure for all the educational institutions in the state.



Apart from political parties and all supporters. Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai reacted to this ongoing protest. She also asked the Indian leaders to stop this marginalisation of Muslim women.  She said refusing to let girls go to school in their hijab is 'horrifying'.
