BJP Ditches Saffron for the Blue-White Theme During Party Meet

BJP's party meeting in Delhi's Naveen Shahdara!

Even as the BJP has been reaping the benefits of polarization, the party is now resorting to various damage control methods amid protests due to the prophet remark row. During a meeting of the state executive of Delhi BJP in the Naveen Shahdara district, the party used blue and white colours on the main stage instead of saffron.

Though all participants wore custom-made caps from Gujarat, barring the posters depicting PM Narendra Modi’s 8 years, all other posters used blue and white colours.

Cabinet minister Mansukh Mandaviya said the country was bigger than the party. Manoj Tiwari and Ramesh Vidhuri attended the meeting and the remaining five MPs were absent.

Party sources said the saffron colour was distanced as a damage control measure after its former spokesperson’s remark against Prophet Muhammad sparked protests worldwide.'

According to the trend, Delhi gives 7 MPs to the Lok Sabha, but votes for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the Vidhan Sabha. This is the reason why Delhi BJP's exile is not ending in Delhi. In such a situation, the work done during the eight years of Modi was counted on one side in the state executive and the blame for the failures was put on the Kejriwal government.

Amid a controversial statement issued by nupur Sharma, many states have been witnessing a deadly scenario amid protest.
