BJP Leads In Goa and Manipur

Exit Poll predictions!


Results for the five poll bound states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Punjab and Goa are all under counting. The exit poll results for the five poll bound states will be out today.

 

According to the predictions made, the BJP is leading in Manipur and Goa. The fate of Manipur and Goa, which went to polling for a new assembly, will be decided on Thursday (March 10). The counting of votes by the Election Commission of India has already begun and as per early trends.

 

The voters’ turnout in Goa was nearly 79% with a large turnout from Sanquelim, where Pramod Sawant, the CM and BJP leader, is a candidate. While in Manipur, the recorded voters’ turnout was 78.03% and 76.6% respectively.

 

Meanwhile in Goa, the Congress alliance is predicted to bag 14-19 seats, followed by BJP which can secure around 13-18 seats. The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) alliance is likely to win 2-5 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and others can win 1-3 seats each

 

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh is currently leading by 2,598 votes in the Heingang constituency. All eyes are on the results of Assembly elections in Manipur where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) looks to retain power, meanwhile the Congress too remains hopeful of a win. Assembly polls in Manipur were conducted in two phases on February 28 and March 5.

 

The Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) is majorly leading in three poll bound states including Goa,Manipur and Uttar Pradesh so far. Whereas Uttarakhand is being leaded by the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is touching Punjab in the exit poll result.
