BJP MPs, now MLAs, asked to vacate bungalows

Time limit of a month given to them...


Few Bharatiya Janata Party Members of Parliament had submitted their resignation after winning in the recent assembly polls.

 

Government have now been asked them to vacate their respective government bungalows in Delhi within next 30 days, sources have revealed.

 

On Thursday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said he accepted the resignation of nine Lok Sabha MPs, including Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Patel, after their latest electoral win.

 

Besides the two Union Ministers, the other Lok Sabha MPs were Rakesh Singh, Udya Pratap Singh and Riti Pathak from Madhya Pradesh, Diya Kumari and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore from Rajasthan, and Gomati Sai and Arun Sao from Chhattisgarh.

 

Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena has also left the party.

 

On the advice of the PM and President gave additional charge of Agriculture Ministry and Farmer's Welfare to Munda, while Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar was given additional charge of Jal Shakti as MoS.

 

Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, was assigned the charge of the Minister of State in Food Processing Industries in addition to her existing portfolio.

 

Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharti Pravin Pawar was given additional charge of the Minister of State in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
