BJP Prepares "Sankalp Patra": Urging Public To Put Suggestions For Party Manifesto

The interaction program will be held from January 3 to January 7 2022.


Lucknow: Ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Election Assembly Polls, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leaders have decided to hold interactive sessions starting today with the public for open suggestion to create their party manifestoes.

According to the Uttar Pradesh BJP's co-media in-charge, Abhay Singh said the party's public representatives, including the MPs and MLAs, are already taking suggestions of the public for preparing the 'Sankalp Patra.

Mr Singh also added, from January 3, members of the party's 'Ghoshna Patra Nirman Samiti' will interact with various sections of the society seeking their counsel.

On January 3, Rajya Sabha MP Seema Dwivedi will interact with labourers, academicians and advocates of Allahabad.

State minister Atul Garg will seek the suggestions of labourers and people in the tourism sector and footwear industry in Agra.

According to the Uttar Pradesh BJP Officials, On Tuesday, Pushkar Mishra will be seeking suggestions from businessmen, the film industry and traders while MP Rajesh Verma will be in Saharanpur interacting with woodcraft workers. Rajya Sabha MP Vijaypal Tomar will hold conversations with farmers and brass industrialists.

The interaction programme will be held till January 7.

Rajya Sabha MP Brijlal, UP Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, state BJP vice-president and MLC Arvind Kumar Sharma, MPs Kanta Kardam and Rita Bahuguna Joshi will also hold similar programmes.

On December 15, the BJP had launched a campaign to gather feedback to be included in the party's 'Sankalp Patra. Under this, boxes were kept at 30,000 places in the state.

Amid the Omicron scare, Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has urged the public not to panic.

Moreover, the Election Commission said that all the political parties should lead the election on time with proper COVID protocols.

According to a report by the media, Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra said, all parties, including the ruling BJP, prime challenger Samajwadi Party, the Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party, among others, have said the elections must be held on time.

Adding more details on the parties raised violation of Covid norms in rallies and asking for curbs to be put in place, Mr Chandra said, The parties had come up with suggestions on how vulnerable groups in the population can be protected from the threat of infection.
