BJP to kick-start 'Gaurav Yatra' in poll-bound Gujarat

BJP will take out five 'Gaurav Yatras' in Gujarat !


On Wednesday, The BJP will take out five 'Gaurav Yatras' across poll-bound Gujarat. 


As per the information, The main focus will be the tribal areas of Gujarat where the BJP suffered a heavy loss during the last assembly elections.


The first two yatras will be flagged off by BJP President JP Nadda, while three other yatras will be flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. All central ministers and top BJP leaders will be part of the yatra in different legs.


The five routes include Bechraji temple in Mehsana district to Mata no Madhh in Kutch district; Dwarka to Porbandar; Zanzaraka of Ahmedabad district to Somnath of Gir-Somnath district; Unai in Navsari district of South Gujarat to Fagvel in Kheda district of Central Gujarat; and Unai to Ambaji in North Gujarat.


The BJP in this election aims to win the highest number of seats, ie over 150 seats. No party to date has won over 150 seats in the Gujarat assembly elections. In 1985, it was Congress that won 149 seats, the highest to date.


On Tuesday, BJP launched LED trucks that will go to 182 assembly constituencies for campaigning. The LED trucks will show the development of the Gujarat government and different schemes of the government. Yatra aims to showcase work done by the Gujarat government. Yatra will touch around 144 assembly constituencies and will have 145 public meetings. The five yatras are expected to cover a distance of over 5700 kms.



The yatra will complete the distance in the next 7 to 10 days.
