A CRPF personnel injured in IED blast...


On 14 January 2023, Muhammad Aslam an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured when Naxalites planted an improvised explosive device (IED) got blast in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.

The injured officer was shifted to the Basaguda field hospital of CRPF immediately where he got stable and shared the exact incident to the officials. He further mentioned that he will be airlifted to Raipur for the further treatment.

According to the senior officer the incident took place around 8:45 Am on Saturday near Pegdapalli village under Tarrem police station limits, when a road opening party of the CRPF's 153rd battalion was out on patrol.

As per the information given by ASI Muhammad Aslam that the pressure-activated IED exploded while the team was fenced off the area.
