Blue & White school Uniform Introduced: Bengal Govt.

Uniform includes Biswa Bangla Logo!

The West Bengal Government is all ready to introduce a new dress code for all the government-run schools in the Bengal state.

As per the information, the Students of all government, semi-government and government-aided schools in Bengal will have a common uniform in a blue and white colour themed uniform. The dress code also carries a logo of Biswa Bangla Logo in the dress.

According to the official order which was accessed by India Today, the state MSME department has been roped in to supply the newly designed school uniforms. The 'Biswa Bangla' logo will be stitched on the pockets of every uniform. The State Govt. is distributing free school bags to students bearing the same logo as part of the entire set.

Further, the government order said the boys in pre-primary to class VIII would get one-half pant and one full shirt. The new attire will consist of a white shirt and navy blue pants for boys from pre-primary to class 8, and a white shirt along with navy blue frocks/salwar kameez in the same colour scheme for girls.

According to the statement given by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Sukanta Majumder said that the state government is thrusting the blue-white color scheme and the Biswa Bangla logo to satisfy the CM."We know the state government is thrusting the blue-white color scheme and the Biswa Bangla logo on all the state-run and aided schools to satisfy the whims of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This works against the autonomy of an educational institution and is a political move by the Trinamool Congress. We will oppose it."
