Body of a man with chopped hangs found hanging from the barricade

Man brutally murdered at the Singhu border outside Delhi near the main stage of protesting farmers on Friday morning


“At about 5am today, a body was found hanging with hands, legs chopped at the spot where farmer’s protest is underway (Kundli, Sonipat). No info on who’s responsible, FIR lodged against an unknown person. Viral video is a matter of probe, rumors will linger,” said DSP Hansraj to ANI. Body of a 35-year-old Lakhbir Singh from Tam Taran district was found tied to an overturned police barricade. His left wrist chopped off near the main stage of protesting farmers. The police have taken the body to the government hospital in Sonipat and further investigation will be done. The viral video shows a group of Nihangs standing over the man asking his name and native village. The video captures his last few moments where his body is strung upside down and him lying on the ground in a pool of blood.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), an union of over 40 farmers who are leading the farmer protest alleged that Nihangs are responsible for this brutal murder. As per reports they are ready to cooperate with the Haryana government for actions to be taken against the culprits. They are expected to issue a statement on the same.
