BSF nabs a Pakistani man in Gujarat…

BSF apprehended a Pakistani fisherman and five boats in Kutch…

Border Security Force (BSF) officials nabbed an infiltrating Pakistani fisherman on Friday. The Pakistani man was allegedly trying to infiltrate the Harami Nala area of Gujarat’s Kutch district which is spread over 300 square km. BSF managed to nab a fisherman while his other accomplices had escaped.

The patrolling team of BSF nabbed one Pakistani fisherman earlier on Friday morning. The patrolling team also seized five boats from across the border when the fisherman allegedly tried to sneak into Indian territory through one of the water channels of Harami Nala near the Indo-Pak border, as per the BSF officials’ statement.

BSF teams detected some movements of boats in close proximity to the International maritime border. The BSF troops upon detection cordoned the area and set out an investigation. During the search operation, they found five Pakistani boats and a fisherman on the scene, all five boats were seized, and the fisherman was apprehended.

As per the statements given by BSF, “The increased water levels due to high tide made movement of troops difficult and challenging and as a result other fishermen escaped towards Pakistan, being very close to the international border”.

The security forces found nothing to strike suspicion on the boats after a thorough search. The security forces could only find fishing nets and equipment.

Nearly a month ago a same case occurred when a special ambush part of BSF had apprehended four Pakistani men and seized 10 fishing boats as they were attempting to sneak into the same area.
