BSF shot down a Drone carrying heroin and opium near the Pak border in Amritsar

2 kilo heroin and 170 grams opium found


Officials reported on Thursday that the Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone that was infiltrating into Indian territory and carrying packs of heroin and opium near Dhanoe Kalan hamlet in Punjab's Amritsar.

 

During the initial search of the area, BSF Punjab Frontier troops recovered a black-colored Drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice 300 RTK) that was half broken.

 

The BSF also seized a large packet wrapped in yellow adhesive tape containing two packets of suspected heroin and two small packets of Opium, as well as one iron ring attached to the shipment.

 

The total weight of the two packets of heroin was 2 kilogramme, while the weight of the opium was 170 grammes. Earlier in the day, the Border Security Forces (BSF) intercepted a drone invading from Pakistan by opening fire on it.

 

"A rogue drone entering from Pakistan was shot down by alert BSF troops in Amritsar Sector." "After being fired, the drone returned to Pakistani territory," the BSF stated in a statement. 

 

According to the BSF, on March 28, it shot down a Pakistani drone in Amritsar shortly after it entered Indian territory carrying a load of illicit products.

 

When BSF forces heard the buzzing sound of the flying item, they shot it down in Amritsar. It was discovered the next morning during a border guarding force search operation. According to the BSF, the drone entered Indian territory from Pakistan and was identified near Border Outpost Rajatal in the Amritsar Sector.

 

Previously, Border Security Force (BSF) forces shot down a Pakistani drone that intruded on the Amritsar sector during the night of February 2 to February 3 at 2:30 AM.
