Burevi Cyclone Impacts life in Tamil Nadu


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that it has issued a high alert for south Tamil Nadu and south Kerala coasts due to Cyclone Burevi, on December 4.Moreover. This is a cyclone warning to prevent them during heavy rainfall in some regions.

As per yesterday reports, Cyclone Burevi has weakened into a deep depression and will cross the Tamil Nadu coast today, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated on Thursday. The associated highly wind speed is about 55-65 kmph and gusting up to 75 kmph.The Burevi would move west-southwestwards and cross Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi districts between Thursday night and Friday early morning with a wind speed of 50-60 kmph,and  gusting up to 70 kmph.

Meanwhile, the State government of Tamil Nadu  has declared public holiday for six districts in the state, while all schools in Puducherry will remain closed on Friday and some district issuing  a red alert and asking people to get them isolated during the Burevi , on the other hand, the International Airports remain closed on December, 4 from 10 am to 6 pm due to heavy landfall and impact of Burevi Cyclone.
