Bus catches fire after touching high-tension wire in Jaipur

3 killed and 6 are injured in the accident


An accident took place on Friday when a bus travelling from Delhi to Jaipur caught fire after coming in contact with a high tension power line, police said. The bus was completely wrecked by the fire in the accident.

“The Jaipur-Delhi national highway was blocked after a truck overturned near Labana village. Due to this reason, the private bus driver tried to take his vehicle in the wrong direction when the incident took place,” said Anita Meena, in-charge of Chandwaji police station.

Three people were killed in the accident and identified as Shubhana, Bhagwan Singh and Noor Mohammad. While six people are injured and have been admitted to NIMS Hospital, the police said. Other remaining passengers were safely evacuated from the bus.
