Cabinet Approves President’s Rule In Puducherry

Puducherry under president’s rule, Union cabinet approves.

Following the decision after the fall of the Congress Government in Puducherry the Union Cabinet has now approved the President’s rule in the Puducherry. Earlier this week the Congress government led by the CM V Narayansamy had failed to prove its majority in the Puducherry assembly.

Puducherry is likely to go for the assembly polls in April-May this year. The opposition showed no interest in forming the government in the Union Territory of Puducherry after CM Narayanswamy resigned and then the President’s rule was imposed there.
