Canada flights from India and Pakistan remain suspended till June 21

Canada has taken this decision on Saturday in view of increasing cases of corona infection in both India and Pakistan.


Flights to Canada from India and Pakistan will remain suspended till June 21. In view of the outbreak of new variants of Covid-19 in India and Pakistan, Canada has taken this decision, although the cargo planes have been exempted. According to Sputnik's report, Cargo flights are exempted from this. Apart from this, aircraft stopping in India or Pakistan due to technical reasons will also not come under this restriction.

In order to protect against the new variant of Covid-19, Canada extended the ban on passenger aircraft coming from India and Pakistan till 21 June. Canada has taken this decision on Saturday in view of increasing cases of corona infection in both India and Pakistan. The Federal Department of Canada stated in a notice that the ban will continue to apply to private and chartered aircraft as well as scheduled passenger aircraft from these two countries.

Canada had a 30-day stay on flights to India and Pakistan on 22 April. Freight aircraft have been exempted for the supply of vaccines and other medical-related supplies. In the notice issued by the Ministry of Transport, it has been said that this is necessary in view of aviation safety and public safety.

There is a ban on direct flights from both countries but there is no restriction on flights coming from any third country. They have to show their Covid Negative Test Report. Transport Minister Omar Alghabra said that due to the health of the people, a decision has been taken to stop the aircraft.
