CBSE announces to hold board exams in 2 parts from 2021-22 session

The board exams will be held in two parts with 50% syllabus in each term, that is, the syllabus is not supposed to overlap.


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday announced a special scheme of assessment for board exams for Classes 10 and 12 for the current 2021-22 session. The exams will be held in two parts with 50% syllabus in each term, that is, the syllabus will not overlap. According to the issued circular, first term exams will have objective questions which will be conducted in November-December 2021 while the second term exams will contain subjective questions and the exams will be held in March-April 2022, reported TOI. The final marks will be based on the student's performance in both exams which will carry equal weightage. The new assessment scheme has been announced keeping in mind the issues the Board, students and parents had to face due to Covid-19 crisis. The board had to cancel Class 10 and 12 exams for the 2020-21 session.
