The last rites of Charukeerthi Swamy were done as per Jain custom
On 23 march 2023, the sheer of Shravanabelagola Jain Muth, Shri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka swamy passed away at the age of 74. He was a scholar in Sanskrit and Prakrit.
The seer was taken to the hospital after his fall at Adichunchanagiri hospital at Bellur and there he declared dead.
After the information was released, Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai offered condolences on the demise of Swamy Charukeerthi.
HD kumaraswamy, Former Chief Minister of Karnataka also offered condolences and shared a post from his Twitter account to inform about the demise.
HD kumaraswamy wrote that he is in deep shock to hear about the demise of Sri Sri Sri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka mahaswamiji and Jagadguru of jainapeeth of shravanabelagola. He futher mentioned that swamy ji have spread holiness, awarness and peace among the people.
