PM Modi to release 8 cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh national park !


On Saturday, Cheetahs arrive in India. This is the gift for the Indian PM’s birthday, this is going to be a historic gift for everyone. 


The special cargo plane carrying eight cheetahs from Namibia landed at the Gwalior airport in Madhya Pradesh early on September 17, which is also PM Modi's birthday.


Over 70 years after they went extinct in India, eight cheetahs landed in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior from Namibia’s capital Windhoek around 8 am on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday, will release the big cats in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park.


According to the information, PM Modi arrived at the Gwalior airport from New Delhi on Saturday morning. He will leave for Kuno National Park in Sheopur district, which is about 165 km away, and release the cheetahs into quarantine enclosures. Two male sibling cheetahs will be released into one quarantine enclosure and another female cheetah will be released into the adjacent enclosure. The quarantine enclosures are 50×30 metres in dimension and there are six such enclosures for eight big cats.


According to the information given by PTI it says, The special cargo plane carrying the cheetahs is a modified Boeing aircraft equipped to carry the cheetahs in special wooden crates during the around 10-hour journey from Namibia's capital.


The cheetahs remained without food during the journey and will be given something to eat once they are released in the enclosures, an official told news agency PTI.
