Chennai's Rajiv Gandhi Hospital builds 3 oxygen plants ahead of 3rd wave. With the effect of 2nd wave,RGGH management decided to seek plans to construct oxygen plants within the premises.


Chennai's Rajiv Gandhi Hospital has constructed three oxygen plants on the premises to be better prepared if the need for oxygen arises again. These plants are being set up in the hospital premises and are capable of producing 5 metric tonnes of oxygen every day. According to the statement given by Dean Thenarirajan    " During the peak, our team did a phenomenal job. They went to the ambulances, they assessed and treated the patients. Terminal patients were given treatment in the ambulance itself. some of them were running out of oxygen for whom we immediately changed the oxygen." after which RGGH management decided to seek plans to construct oxygen plants within the premises.
