Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Injured During Election Campaign in Nandigram

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was injured in a leg in Nandigram. Mamata’s allegation - four-five people deliberately attacked her.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is busy with Bengal election campaign, suffered a leg injury. Mamata has claimed that she was deliberately attacked under a conspiracy. When she was attacked, there were no police on the spot. She has also complained of chest pain. Meanwhile The BJP has asked the Election Commission to conduct a CBI inquiry into the matter.

Mamata Banerjee said that she was attacked by 4-5 people. According to her, when she was near her car in Nandigram, some people pushed her, causing her leg injury. Speaking to the media, Mamata, groaning with pain, said, there were a lot of injuries ... there was no one from the local police. There is  a conspiracy. This has been been done intentionally.

BJP leaders Suvendu Adhikari and Kailash Vijayvargiya have termed Mamata Banerjee's allegations as false. In a talk with a news channel, Kailash Vijayvargiya said- 'I have been doing politics in Bengal for 6 years. The way she was encircled by the police, there was no attack on her workers, such was the atmosphere there. The nexus of police and criminals work there. However, if this happens, I would appeal to the Election Commission that a CBI inquiry should take place. If there is an attack, then there should be harsh punishment. But I assert that it is a gimmick to garner sympathy. They know that the ground has been eroded'.
