Christian Oliver Dies in Plane Crash

Two Daughters Also Lost in Tragedy

Christian Oliver, a Hollywood actor born in Germany, tragically lost his life along with his two young daughters when their small plane crashed into the Caribbean Sea shortly after takeoff, according to local authorities.

Oliver, known for his roles alongside George Clooney in "The Good German" and in the 2008 action-comedy "Speed Racer," passed away on Thursday aboard a privately owned, one-engine aircraft, as confirmed by the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

Fishermen, divers, and the coast guard swiftly responded to the incident, recovering four bodies at the crash site.

The unfortunate incident claimed the lives of Christian Oliver, aged 51, along with his daughters Madita, 10, and Annik, 12, as well as pilot Robert Sachs.

The plane departed from Bequia, a small island in the Grenadines, en route to St Lucia shortly after midday on Thursday.

It seems the family was on vacation, as indicated by Oliver's Instagram post a few days prior. He shared an image of a tropical beach with the caption: "Greetings from somewhere in paradise! To community and love... 2024 [here] we come!"

Christian Oliver, originally born Christian Klepser, had an impressive career with over 60 movie and TV credits, including a minor role in the Tom Cruise movie "Valkyrie."

In his early career, Christian Oliver took on roles in the TV series "Saved by the Bell: The New Class" and the movie "The Baby-Sitters Club."

In his native Germany, Christian Oliver played a prominent role, starring for two seasons in the popular cop show "Alarm für Cobra 11."
