CM Bhagwant Mann admitted to Delhi Hospital

Punjab CM taken to a private hospital in Delhi on Wednesday

CM Bhagwant Mann drank a glass full of water directly out of the Kali Bein, a holy rivulet in Sultanpur Lodhi. Two days after that he was taken ill with a severe stomachache in Chandigarh at this official residence. On Tuesday from there he was airlifted and taken to Delhi for further medical examination.

Sources have informed that he had undergone medical tests and is still under observation in the hospital. His sickness has been kept a closely guarded secret by the government as he was rushed to Delhi without tagging along his entire security staff. CM Bhagwant Mann’s office did not comment or confirm on CM’s hospitalisation and an official even said that the CM was hale and hearty and has a packed Thursday with back-to-back meetings.

Sources have reported that his ailments can be a result of his drinking water straight out of the rivulet, Kali Bein. On Sunday, the CM visited Sultanpura Lodhi to celebrate the 22nd year mark of cleaning the Kali Bein, where he proceeded to drink water out of it. A video of him drinking water had gone viral too.

The government also released a statement saying that the CM had planted a sapling on the banks of Bein and drank out of the rivulet. Meanwhile, on Wednesday around 8 pm, the CM congratulated the Punjab police and the Anti Gangster task force for successfully taking down shooters allegedly involved in the murder of singer-turned politician Sidhu Moose Wala on Twitter.

An official claimed he would be back in the office by Thursday.
