CM Kejriwal to represent Delhi At Global Culture Forum

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will appear at the global culture forum soon.


Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will appear at the global culture forum soon. Kejriwal has accepted the invitation of the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to represent Delhi and the country there in the forum. The forum comprises of 40 world cities, including London, Tokyo, and New York, that recognize the impact and importance of culture and creativity, and seek to inculcate these values in public policy and city planning.

The date for the annual summit  has not been announced on the forum’s website.

According to the statement of Mr. Kejriwal was pleased as Delhi will be a part of the forum's annual summit. Moreover, he aims to transform Delhi into a world leader in the field of culture and as an artist-friendly city.

As the theme of this year is The Future of Culture" for the annual summit, Kejriwal says it was a "topic of importance", which would help in reconsider the culture of Delhi, "especially in the wake of several ruinous challenges and the COVID-19 crisis faced by people in the last year.
