Commercial LPG Prices Up by Over Rs 100

Second Consecutive Hike...

On Wednesday, government-controlled Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) implemented an immediate price increase of over Rs 100 for commercial LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders in various locations across the country. This marks the second price hike for commercial LPG cylinders in the last two months.

Both commercial and domestic LPG cylinder prices are subject to monthly revisions, which occur on the first day of every month.

Following the most recent revision, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder's price in Delhi has increased to Rs 1,833 from its previous rate of Rs 1,731. In Mumbai, the new price for a commercial LPG cylinder is Rs 1,785.50, while in Kolkata, it is Rs 1,943 per cylinder, and in Chennai, it now costs Rs 1,999.50 per cylinder.

In October, commercial LPG cylinder prices stood at Rs 1,684 in Mumbai, Rs 1,839.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,898 in Chennai. This increase followed a rate hike of Rs 209 by the oil companies.

It's worth noting that the price of domestic LPG, typically used for cooking in households, remained stable at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi.
