Congress Working Committee meet to be held on Oct 16

The top body will discuss the Lakhimpur Kheri Incident and other important issues including some defections in the recent past.


The Congress Working Committee (CWC) will hold a meeting on October 16, that is, next Saturday to hold talks over the current political scenario, upcoming assembly elections and elections within the organisation. 

AICC general secretary KC Venugopal tweeted about the meeting on Saturday and said that the meeting will be held at the AICC office at 10 am next week. The top body will discuss the Lakhimpur Kheri Incident and other important issues including some defections in the recent past.

 

Ghulam Nabi Azad, former leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha, had also written to the party president to soon hold a meeting of the top body. The meeting is also being held to discuss the schedule for electing the new Congress chief.
