Counting Begins, BJP Takes Lead In Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh Exit poll results!

The Final decision of the ongoing Uttar Pradesh assembly elections are today. The counting of votes began in the poll-bound state. Whereas counting of votes began at 8 AM.

It is a high-stakes election in UP for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Samajwadi Party (SP), Congress, and other political parties as the state sends the highest number of 80 MPs to Lok Sabha and the party's performance will have a bearing on the 2024 general election.

Uttar Pradesh, which has a maximum of 403 assembly constituencies, will have more than 750 counting halls. A total of 250 companies of CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces) have been provided to all the districts and commissioners of Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor assembly constituency voted on February 14, 2022 (Monday). The constituency is a part of the Bijnor parliamentary constituency and falls under the Bijnor district.

This year, 13 candidates are contesting from the constituency - 10 men and 3 women. 2 have declared pending criminal cases against them. On average, candidates have 3 Cr+ in net assets, with Ruchi Vira being the wealthiest with net assets worth 25 Cr+.

Many leaders and political party members are coming up with their decisions ahead of the result. As per the predictions, it is notable that several exit polls have predicted a clear majority for Yogi Adityanath's government in Uttar Pradesh.

If the saffron party gets a majority in the 403-member Assembly, it would become the first party to get a consecutive second term in over three decades.
