Couple arrested for dumping a 5-month-old child

In Rajasthan, the accused throw the child to save a government job

On 24 January 2023, a couple got arrested for dumping their 5-month-old daughter into a canal on 23 January in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan to save the government job.

As per the information shared by the police, the accused man signed a contract in a Chandasar village as a school assistant in which he had given an affidavit to the school of having two children only in December 2022. The accused identified as Jhanwarlal was afraid that if he had more than two children, he might lose his job.

The circle officer Vinod Kumar mentioned that after receiving information that a man and a woman were throwing a baby in a canal at chattargarh of Bikaner they reached the spot and recovered the body but the child died after throwing it. He further mentioned that the couple identified as the parents of the deceased child and throw her to save the permanent government job.
