Police arrested the accused!


A 15-year-old girl was rescued by the Gurugram police after she was sexually assaulted, tortured, and starved by her employers on Tuesday for forcing her to help with their household.

As per the information, a joint team of police and the one stop crisis center, also known as Sakhi rescued the teenage girl on Tuesday, and the police arrested the couples who forced her from their house in the New Colony area of Gurugram.

According to the police, the girl was tortured by the couple for several months, and the rescue was done after a complaint was registered by the Gurugram based NGO.

The complaint was received by the police after a social media thread that mentioned the girl's condition. The picture showed the girl's face with bruises and multiple burn injuries on her cheeks, forehead, arms, and lips.

The couples were identified as Manish Khattar and his wife, Kamaljeet Kaur, who hired the minor from Ranchi five months ago.

Following the complaint, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Preet Pal Sangwan explained the incident and registered the FIR under Section 323 (causing hurt), Section 342 (wrongful confinement) of the IPC, and the relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act (Care and Protection of Children Act) and the POSCO Act.
