On Friday morning, 30 December 2022, The Indian cricket team fans woke up to hear the news of Rishabh Pant's horrific car accident in the early hours as the wicketkeeper's Mercedes collided with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.

Rishabh Pant's car met with an accident while returning home from Delhi.

His car met with an accident on the Narsan border of Roorkee.

According to eyewitnesses on the spot, Pant's car collided with the railing and caught fire immediately. With great difficulty, the fire was brought under control. Simultaneously, Rishabh Pant, who was severely injured in the accident, was rushed to Saksham Hospital on Delhi Road.

According to the doctors, Pant suffered injuries to his forehead and leg. The car was completely destroyed in the accident and was burned down by the fire that occurred as an aftermath of the incident.

Pant was the only person in the car at the time of the massive collision, and Uttarakhand Police Director General Ashok Kumar claims that he broke the windscreen to escape the flaming vehicle. He suffered head, knee, and shin injuries in the incident.

His leg may have been fractured; therefore, he was transported to the Max Hospital in Dehradun.

He has suffered from several burn injuries, but his condition is not very serious, said the police. The police also said that he dozed off while driving the car.

Some accounts state that he was driving a Mercedes when his car crashed into the barrier and caught fire near Hammadpur Jhal, close to the Delhi-Dehradun route.
