Railway track sold to a scrap dealer in Bihar...


February 7: A case of missing railway track nearly 2 kilometers was registered in Samastipur railway division in Bihar.

As per the information received the railway track worth crores were sold to a scrap dealer in assistance of RPF (Railway Protection Force) personnel without auctioning it.

The railway track laid from Pandual Station of Samastipur railway division to Lohat Sugar Mill that was closed for so long. 

Following the incident the Divisional Railway Manager of Samastipur Railway Division Ashok Agarwal informed that a department level enquiry committee has been set to investigate the matter. 

He further mentioned that two personnel have been suspended with immediate effect including Jhanjharpur Railway outpost in charge Srinivas of railway division and Jamadar Mukesh Kumar Singh of Madhubani for not informing the department about the scam at the time. 

The case is under investigation by the Darbhanga RPF Post and Railway Vigilance department.
