Dalit Woman Raped In UP

Body chopped in pieces…

On Wednesday, a Dalit woman aged 40-year-old was murdered after allegedly being raped and her body was chopped into pieces in a village in UP's Banda, police said.

On Tuesday, the woman went to the accused Rajkumar's house to clean his flour mill. When her daughter reached there, she heard her mother's screams from a room that was locked from inside, Station House Officer Sandeep Tiwari said on Thursday.

After some time, when the door of the room opened, the girl saw the mother's body lying in pieces and then she suddenly informed the police, he said.

Following this, an FIR was registered against Rajkumar Shukla, his brother Bauwa Shukla, and Ramakrishna Shukla, the SHO said. The accused men are missing and no arrests have been made in the case, he said.

Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav attacked the state government over the incident.

In a post in Hindi on X, Mr. Yadav said, "The news of rape and shocking murder of a Dalit in Banda is heart-breaking. The women of UP are scared and also angry."

The former CM also mentioned the alleged incident of stripping and recording indecent videos of a female student of IIT-BHU.

"The incident of making a video of a female student of IIT-BHU after stripping her after indecency is a slap on the face of the law and order in Uttar Pradesh and exposes BJP's big lie of zero tolerance," he said.
